Last year, my boyfriend was an addicted to Angry Birds so I made for his birthday (2011 birthday) an Angry Birds party. The cake was the red bird, the balloons had the faces of each of the main characters, the pinata was the green pig and for the gift, I made a box with the face of the yellow bird. The box was a little too big for the present so I made these little 3D paper hearts to fill the box and secure the gift inside.
El año pasado mi novio era un adicto a Angry Bird así que para su cumpleaños (2011) le hice un fiesta de Angry Birds. El pudín/torta era del pájaro rojo, los globos tenían la cara de cada uno de los personajes principales, la piñata era del cerdito verde y para el regalo le hice una caja con la cara del pájaro amarillo; la caja era un poco.. demasiado grande para el regalo, así que hice estos corazoncitos de papel 3D para llenarla y asegurar el regalo que iba adentro.

- Paper strips (wide: 3cm long: 15cm)

1-2-3. Take the right superior corner and fold it like forming a triangle, keep folding it forminf triangles as you can see in the picture.
1-2-3. Toma la esquina superior derecha y doblalá como formando triángulos, sigue doblando y formando triángulos, como puedes ver en la imágen.
At the end you will have this (photo 4)

5-6. The tag that remains fold it and introduce it in the first space between the papers
5-6 La pestaña que sobra, doblalá e introducela en el primer espacio entre los papeles
7. When you finished that part, you will have a triangle
7. Cuando termines esa parte, tendrás un triángulo
8. Identify the middle of the longest side of the triangle
8. Identifica la mitad del lado más largo del triángulo
9. With your thumbs nails make pressure in that point until you have a “heart shape” (photo 9a)
9. Con tus uñas de los dedos pulgares, haz presión en el punto hasta que logres una “forma de corazón” (foto 9a)
10. To secure the shape that you’ve already made, make presure to the corners of the heart.
10. Para aregurar la forma que acabas de hacer, haz presión en las esquinas del corazón
11-12. Take your scissors and finish the shape.
